The fundraising folks from Lydia's Gate homeless shelter dropped in today looking for donations to feature in the silent auction part of their fundraising dinner to be held in November. If any vendors from Ausable Valley Market would like to donate to this cause please message me and describe what you would like to donate and I will take it from the inventory and set the items aside for pick up in a couple weeks. Thank you for your consideration. Lydia's Gate is our local homeless shelter. This is a very good cause.
[09/28/13] For anyone interested in personal protection, we have a vendor Dave Schlieicher who is an NRA Certified Firearm Instructor and owner of Eagle Personal Protection. We are offering his array of made in Michigan Pepper Spray canisters. These quality hand held personal defense sprays are available at the market along with some of the other items he provides for sale during his CCW Classes. Stop in for more information on Dave's classes that are held throughout the year. Dave lives in Oscoda County and also works with the Oscoda County Sheriff's Department as a part-time deputy.

With fall just a few days away we felt compelled to stock some of our favorite immune system supplements and organic herbal teas. We have Organic Cold Care P.M., Organic Throat Coat, Organic Echinacea Plus, and Organic Mother's Milk Teas. Don't wait until there is an issue in your house with a sore throat or a cold. [09/07/13] Today's special is egg plant. They are two for $1.00. That is a screaming deal for organically grown produce. We also have slicing cukes, tomatoes, and green peppers. All organic and fresh picked. We will be open until 5:00 today.

[09/04/13] Bye Bye summer. You have been our friend for a brief time and we will miss you. Our hours have changed as of the traditional close of summer, Labor Day Weekend. We will be open on Friday's and Saturday's only. We know this will disappoint some of you and we apologize for the inconvenience.
[08/24/13] Fresh produce at the market today from Cleaner Living Farm. We have a variety of Heirloom tomatoes, multicolored sweet peppers, slicing cukes, and beautiful eggplant. This is the time of year to load up on organics from the garden. All locally grown and full of vitamins and minerals! We also have many new artists and home crafters who have items here. [08/17/13] Super fresh, crisp sweet peppers, green and multi colored, cukes, eggplant, and Heirloom tomatoes for sale today until 5:00 at the market. These tomatoes are truly vine ripened and very sweet, just like tomatoes are supposed to be! Stop in and check it out. Also we had a large delivery of Natural Pampered Beef. We have a summer special on the ground beef, 10 one pound packages for $40.00. That is a great savings. And compared to other natural food stores, this is a screaming deal. Stock up for the fall and winter. This ground beef keeps for months in a deep freezer. Beautiful day out today in Northern Michigan!

[08/08/13] Organic tomatoes, eggplant, green beans, and "chocolate" (green peppers) available at the market today. If you are in need of some nice juicy red tomatoes and yours are still green in the garden, stop in they are 25 cents each. You can't beat those prices!! And organic at that!!

[08/03/13] Stop in today. Amazing Heirloom Tomatoes. The flavor is beyond awesome!! Eggplant, "Chocolate Peppers" and some cukes. All fresh, chemical free and organic. High nutrient dense foods. We also have a new vendor that makes the cutest theme tote bags with a key chain. Some handmade newborn baby bibs, blankets, and lace bonnet. We are also running a summer special on Pampered Beef. Ten pounds for $40.00. That is $4.00 per pound, a .95 savings when you purchase in bulk. Great deal for natural, hormone/antibiotic free "clean" meat. We started our day today with the Oscoda County Cruisers making a pit stop at the market. Thanks for stopping. It was fun!
